What is BIZZ?

BIZZ is an all-natural nootropic gum with a nicotine analog. What does that mean? Regulators consider this a nicotine product, though the molecule is not identical to nicotine. This limits our advertising/marketing potential on traditional channels & limits what we can say (e.g. BIZZ is less addictive than all other nicotine products, BIZZ is better for you than nicotine products, BIZZ is a better focus tool than nicotine or Adderall, etc.). BIZZ is a next-gen nicotine gum that’s designed to keep your health & that of the planet’s in mind. BIZZ replaces traditional plastic gum bases with a biodegradable, all-natural gum base (chicle tree sap & mastic resin) and enriches the formula with selected nootropics (Vitamin D3, K2, L-Theanine, Taurine, Magnesium, Terpenes) to balance nicotine’s drawbacks like inflammation, vascular stress, neurotoxicity, anxiety, & comedown/withdrawal. Packaging is 100% compostable (pouches) or recyclable with almost no plastic with kraft paper + metal (tubes).

We use a 6-Methylnicotine molecule (scientific name) a.k.a Nixodine (the trade name). 6-MN is considered a “nicotine analog”. Very similar effects to nicotine, but binds slightly stronger to the same receptors in the brain as nicotine. This results in a slightly different sensation, less “buzz” and more “focus/clarity”. More flow-state tool than addictive relaxation/euphoric crutch. It acts more similar to the body’s acetylcholine neurotransmitter in the brain than nicotine does because of how it binds to the same receptors as acetylcholine. (Un)Fortunately, it seems to be less addictive than nicotine, and therefore, less habit-forming & probably slightly less “enjoyable” to current nicotine users for that reason. Ideally, we have three possible psychographic markets and a lot of different personas we want to test: Nicotine users (cleanest nicotine product), nootropic users (focus boost without nicotine’s downsides), ADHD med users (lighter stimulant, shorter with less side effects). This could be: students, gamers, nurses, firefighters, finance/tech white collar workers, longevity enthusiasts, etc.

Our goal is to create a market for BIZZ by quickly learning the best way to position it for success – e.g. nicotine replacement, cleaner nicotine, non-addictive nootropic focus tool, ADHD solution, etc. This is a novel product that can be alluring but intimidating. We want to (1) spark intrigue, (2) acknowledge & dispel concerns, and (3) convert interest into returning customers.

Some possible psychographic + demographic personas for BIZZ:

  1. Many pouch & vape users need a stronger hit than what BIZZ can offer. But other pouch & vape users feel guilty about their usage and could sacrifice on that hit if BIZZ satisfies their cravings guilt free.
  2. Many folks are open to stimulants for focus, cognition & work productivity. A subset of these people are open to nicotine as that tool. A further subset of them would feel comfortable exploring a nicotine-like molecule. This subset will grow bigger the more that Nixodine/6-MN is validated by the market, as more studies are conducted, as it grows in popularity, and as people understand its subtleties compared to nicotine. Our job is to make this happen.
  3. Current nicotine gum users (Nicorette, Lucy, Quitine, etc.) may be open to a “non-plastic with added vitamins/minerals” version of nicotine gum. As long as we can dispel & refute their hesitations, there will be a subset of this market who will convert.
  4. Other groups would be:
    1. Folks at rehab centers. Many rehab centers feed nicotine gum to patients as a new/cleaner habit than whatever they were previously doing.
    2. Nurses & Firefighters. Many of them engage in nicotine, and they’re also health conscious. This is a cleaner habit than other nicotine products. This would enhance sleep duration compared to late-night caffeine or prescriptions stimulants.
    3. College students (21+) studying for finals or kicking back at a party. This is a cleaner way to focus compared to other stimulants and other nicotine products. Plus the deeply connected social networks could help BIZZ spread fast.
    4. Gamers. An easy tool for computerphiles or gamers to get a spark & lift in a cleaner way.
    5. Longevity enthusiasts who also are inclined (open) to taking stimulants.
    6. Tech bro & finance bro that are also health-inclined, not afraid of stimulants, and aren’t intimidated by scientific jargon. This extends to the general white collar knowledge worker.

In the hustle and bustle times of today where coffee can only do so much and prescription amphetamines are overkill, a happy medium needs to be reached – for flow, for productivity, for mental stamina.

Something can be said for nicotine being this middle ground, but not in the way we traditionally see it. Its effects on neurotransmitters increase alertness, focus and perception.
